A new era begins for the band with a new singer - a new album will be released before the tour! OOMPH! have big news just in time for their European tour in the fall! DER SCHULZ - singer of UNZUCHT - will accompany OOMPH! as a new singer in future. The band is also pleased to announce their first studio album with the new line-up. ‘Richter Und Henker’ was released on September 8th, 2023 via Napalm Records, marking the new era of OOMPH! usher in.
The 14th studio album by the legendary Neue Deutsche Härte band, which shaped the entire genre in its time, was once again produced and recorded by the band itself and combines all the beloved, proven trademarks with a strong look into the future. The first new track and video was released on July 11, 2023. Cr4p and Flux about the band’s new singer: “DER SCHULZ was always our first choice. Since we have known and appreciated each other for a long time, he was the first singer we approached. Of course, we also met with many other promising applicants in our studio and tried out working together. Ultimately, DER SCHULZ convinced us because he managed to revive the feeling of the old OOMPH! songs and we harmonized extremely well on a human and creative level. He is a strong songwriter and lyricist and has exactly the charisma, presence and character we were looking for. We had the right feeling from the start!”
