This European summer Rock & Metal festival season is drawing to a close in Poland with an annual two-day festival covering three Polish cities - Gdansk, Poznan, and Krakow. Rockowizna brings together Rock and Metal bands and heavy music lovers from all over the world and stands out as a modern festival created to give maximum comfort to fans.
Travelling across the country, the organizers literally bring the party to people - saving them from the need to travel far or camp out to see their favourite bands. Rockowizna events are usually held in big open-air areas near the city, so that people can easily use public transport to get there and back home - nothing but pure comfort.
The festival starts in Gdansk on August 7 and 8 featuring AVATAR and AIRBOURNE as headliners, goes on in Poznan on August 20-22 with SEX PISTOLS & FRANK CARTER, WOLF ALICE, and WITHIN TEMPTATION on the main stage, and finishes in Krakow on August 28 and 29 with LORD OF THE LOST and LACUNA COIL who will definitely make the festival’s grand finale unforgettable.
Polish bands ACID DRINKERS, COMA, and DŻEM as well as a Swedish Rock band ROYAL REPUBLIC will share the stage with other performers in the three cities. Now, let’s dive into Rockowizna in Krakow to see what to expect from the final part of the festival.
Day I
On August 28, German Metal band LORD OF THE LOST are returning to Krakow for the second time this year, after their solo show in March supporting their recently released album trilogy ‘OPVS Noir’. This is going to be their last show before a tour break, so LOTL fans just can’t miss the opportunity to hear the band’s hits and new songs live: ‘Blood & Glitter’, ‘Loreley’, ‘Cha Cha Cha’, ‘Damage’, ‘I Hate People’… Well, we’ll see what they’ve prepared for the festival guests that night! Besides LORD OF THE LOST, the audience will also experience the energy of ACID DRINKERS, KID KAPICHI, NOCNY KOCHANEK, PULL THE WIRE, and THE ANALOGS who will set the right mood before the headliner’s performance.
Day II
Italian Gothic and Alternative Metal band LACUNA COIL will close out the festival’s main stage on the last day of Rockowizna. After releasing their new album, ‘Sleepless Empire’, in 2025, they played a solo show in Poland and have now returned to Rockowizna to create an atmosphere of pure energy with their greatest hits: ‘Our Truth’, ‘Enjoy the Silence’, ‘Swamped’, ‘Heaven’s a Lie’, ‘Oxygen’… Who knows what they have in store for Rockowizna - the only way to find out is to be there in person! On this day, the audience will also be headbanging to COMA, ROYAL REPUBLIC, DŻEM, ZENEK GRABOVSKY, and ROMANTYCY LEKKICH OBYCZAJÓW. See you there!
