Every one of our interviews has its own story and is unique. This interview with Lex took almost four years until I finally had everything I needed. When we met at the “Volle Kraft Voraus” Festival, the last hurdle was overcome - we were finally able to take a photo of Lex’s tattoo. I had to serve as the background for it, so unfortunately it’s not fully visible, but sometimes you just have to be happy with what you get. Now I’m excited to share our interview with you. Non-album releases traditionally highlight releases that are not full-length albums across all genres of the dark scene. The criteria here are somewhat different from the selection of full-length works, that’s why this top is a separate block. In 2024 there were many interesting short releases that were contenders for this top, but even among the contenders in the last couple of years there are not so many maxi-singles and remix releases. EPs are mostly done by young acts, that are just starting their journey into dark music. The Post-Industrial scene during its heyday in the 00s and 10s was not so rich in diverse releases, so the main criteria for choosing releases for the top are diversity and uniqueness. However, this approach can be applied to other tops and not only mine. The return of old projects, the emergence of new ones with an interesting sound and recreating the good old. The Industrial scene of 2024, as always, was filled with a variety of releases in various genres. Young interesting projects of beginners and not so new musicians appeared with the new project. Old almostforgotten artists returned with new creations. Old-timers of the scene continued to please the ears and souls of listeners with quality material.
